This one is for large well pumps 2hp to 6hp. This Cycle Stop valve is for balancing the pressure between your water tank and rest of home. I intend to replace it with the correct size. A Cycle Stop valve does not replace the pressure switch.
It throttles flow into the tank, while giving you full pressure to your house, when well pump is on. In effect, the Cycle Stop valve allows your pump to run longer each time, and reduces times it kicks on off. Once all faucets in the house are closed, it allows your well pump to bring pressure up high end of settings on switch.
